All metaX supplements for energy and protein fortification are drinking and tube feeds in powder form. They are virtually tasteless and are all suitable for enriching savory and sweet foods and beverages as well as stirred doughs. The possible applications are therefore very flexible – in many foods and beverages tolerated by the respective patient. The energy density or the protein content of the food and beverages increases considerably, but pleasantly the powders hardly increase the volume of the respective food.
