Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP) for use in the dietary management of Phenylketonuria (PKU) or Hyperphenylalaninemia (HPA).

The total daily amount of amino acid mixture depends on age, body weight and individual metabolic situation and is determined under medical supervision. It is best to take the daily amount divided into 3 – 5 servings. The daily dose of amino acid mixture can be either exclusively XPhe for2 LC or a combination of several amino acid mixtures suitable for dietary management of PKU/HPA. The PKU diet requires a need-based intake of energy, natural protein, and other nutrients.

Use only under medical supervision. Not intended for exclusive feeding. Do not use parenterally. Only for women with phenylketonuria (PKU) or hyperphenylalaninemia (HPA) – especially before and during pregnancy and lactation.
