XPhe enjoy GMP is a concentrated protein supplement in powder form from 3 years of age onwards, based on glycomacropeptide (GMP) and with a small amount of phenylalanine - enriched with a soluble fibre from corn (polydextrose) and vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP) for use in the dietary management of Phenylketonuria (PKU) or Hyperphenylalaninemia (HPA).

PKU patients have been shown to exhibit an altered microbiome compared to healthy controls. Therefore XPhe enjoy GMP is enriched with a soluble dietary fibre from corn (polydextrose). Soluble dietary fibres have a prebiotic effect and are easily digestible. They stimulate intestinal activity and have a positive effect on the intestinal flora. Soluble fibre serves as food for beneficial bacteria and is broken down by them in the large intestine to form short-chain fatty acids. These fatty acids reduce blood sugar levels and blood lipids.

The total daily amount of protein supplements (GMP-based and/or ASM) depends on age, body weight and the individual metabolic situation and is determined under medical supervision. It is best to take the daily amount divided into 3 - 5 servings. The daily dose of protein supplements can be either exclusively XPhe enjoy GMP or a combination of several protein supplements suitable for dietary management of PKU/HPA. The PKU diet requires a needs-based intake of energy, natural protein and other nutrients.

Must only be used under medical supervision. Not for use as a sole source of nutrition. For enteral use only. Only for people with proven Phenylketonuria (PKU) or Hyperphenylalaninemia (HPA). Suitable from 3 years of age.
